Information we process
When you extract a recipe, the post URL you submit is sent to our service and an external extraction provider to retrieve an accessible caption. Do not submit private links, sensitive information, or content you do not have the right to access and process.
The submitted URL and the extracted recipe are stored on our servers so we can improve the service and understand what succeeds or fails. Failed extracts also store a short error message. There is no user account, and we do not store an IP address with the extract record.
If you choose to compare prices, ingredient lines are sent to a separate comparison service, an AI processing provider, and a price-data provider to match products and calculate a basket. Comparison is never automatic and is not saved in recipe history.
Browser storage and sharing
Recipe history in the browser is automatically stored in localStorage under post-recipe-saved-v1. That list stays on this device and is not synced to an account. Delete it in the site or browser settings. Server-side extract records are separate from this local history.
A share link contains the recipe in the URL fragment. The fragment is not sent to our server when opened, but anyone with the link can read and forward it. Do not include sensitive information.
Analytics
External analytics and ad measurement are enabled by default. Analytics helps us understand usage. Ad measurement uses a Meta pixel to see whether an ad led to a visit, a scroll, a recipe extract, or other on-site actions. We configure page location without shared-recipe fragments, disable advertising signals on general analytics, and do not send source-post URLs or recipe content. You can opt out of analytics and ad measurement using “Disable analytics” in the home-page footer; the choice is stored in this browser. This opt-out model may not be sufficient if the service is directed at EU or UK residents.
Providers and international transfers
The service uses external hosting, extraction, analytics, and ad-measurement providers. They may process traffic data, IP addresses, and technical information outside Israel under their policies and applicable law. You can request more information about provider categories using the contact address below.
Retention and security
Recipe history remains in your browser until deleted. Server-side extract records are kept to improve the service, and infrastructure providers may retain operational logs under their policies. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system is completely secure. You can request deletion of extract records using the contact address below.
Your rights and contact
For access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions, email shiftscrafter@gmail.com. We may request reasonable information to verify a request. You may also contact Israel's Privacy Protection Authority.
